So, you’re TRAINING someone…
(As in… the hope is they are running their own show after this)

º I should show the trainee how to set up the PA system themselves as I talk them through it step by step. ºI should have the trainee shadow me while I teach a team or two how to play, then have the trainee do the rest while I watch and coach them º I should teach the trainee how to keep score ºI should have the trainee keep score during the first game while I run the game and manage the music º During the second game, I should have the trainee do EVERYTHING… run the game on the mic, keep score, and manage the tunes º While the trainee runs the second game, I should remain seated up at the computer with them to encourage and to coach them ºI should have the trainee take pictures and share them with me so I can upload and tag them for marketing, then teach them how to do that ºI should have the trainee do the nightly report under my name At the end of the day, we are just looking to make sure they: 1) Are experts on scoring. 2) Know exactly how the game runs and can run it right. 3) Are able to start having their personality come through. |
× I should set up the equipment myself × I should go around and teach/get teams to play all by myself × I should have the trainee watch how I run the game for the entire evening × I should have the trainee keep score and run the show for both games × While the trainee runs the second game, I should sit in the crowd and play × I should take the pictures myself × I should do the nightly report myself Bottom line, this training is super hands-on because they need to be competent and ready to run their own show next time. However…if they are bad…then it is ok to save your game and take back over (this should be very rare though). |
